Scholarship Program

By @ShaolinLohanPai ( 2 )

This is an Annual Campaign, which is not designed for a specific student, to insure that we continue have the resources available for those underprivileged children, battered/abused women, students and families on a fixed limited. We need to continue to allow these worthy people to have the opportunity to study the principles taught by the “Shaolin Lohan Pai (少林羅漢派)”. You are welcome to judge for yourself how this system has benefited many people by going to http://www.shaolinkungfu.org/index-testimonials.asp.

The students of the Shaolin Lohan Pai are dedicated to “Success” in all forms. We strive to be the ‘absolute best’ in everything that we do. Our main objective is “To Reach Development of the Mind Through the Discipline of the Body”!

Quite often, you will notice the Pupils and Disciples practicing their martial skills late into the evening long after classes are finished. This training is often done around the community practicing in unusual places.

The Disciples of this system are also committed to their community! What do we mean by this? We understand that the only way to improve “Humanity” is by first taking steps to improve ourselves. Once that has been accomplished; we take that “improvement” and do our best to educate others on ways to improve their own lives. SiGung Cabais has taught us to take ‘personal responsibility’ for the communities that we are a part of. He has taught us to “Be part of the solution and not the problem”. Kung Fu is life! So, we strive to live!

The words “kung fu” can be translated as the acquiring of a skill. Studying Kung Fu teaches more than just a martial art. We often use the phrase “the art of mental and physical agility” to describe the Shaolin Lohan Kung Fu system. What gives practitioners of Kung Fu the ability to do such amazing things is more than just the training of the body, it is the conditioning of the mind. The study of Kung Fu isn’t about becoming physically strong and fit, it is about the realization that we all have the will to do whatever we want. By forcing our strong will on our weak bodies we will succeed.

How do we evaluate our Kung? “By our ability to react to our environment.”
How do we improve our Kung? “By changing our environment to suit our needs.”

Being mentally agile means more than just being able to hold a horse stance for an hour or doing a standing back flip. Mental agility is the ability to not only succeed in ones endeavors, but to change oneself for the positive. Kung Fu grants the willpower to force the world around you to accept that you are going to succeed because you won’t give up.
Students under this scholarship are required to maintain a strict adherence to the Shaolin Lohan Pai’s “Code of Conduct”. We closely keep any Child or College Student under a strict requirement of maintaining a minimum 3.5 grade average to ensure their eligibility under this program.

All donations are Tax Deductible under our Non-Profit Organization (Tax ID # 43-1933887). We appreciate any and all help with this worthwhile cause. Please feel free to tell others about this unique program.
