The Canadian Youth Assembly is a federal non-profit organization that has three major focuses: education, volunteerism and creating dialogue.

Through such programs as our Model Parliament we are educating youth about their local and national communities. We are creating volunteer opportunities and making known those available through our work with institutions and other organizations and are providing enticing opportunities for those who have never been involved in their community before. Finally, through creating a dialogue with youth and their government we are fostering a greater understanding and stronger relationship with one another.

The Canadian Youth Assembly is comprised of 177 elected youth (see our election page for details) who will serve as the leaders and representatives for youth in their local area. The volunteers and the organization itself are non-partisan, whereas our members (youth from coast to coast to coast) are multi-partisan.
