“I wanted to thank you for your email regarding the closure of the Scenography portfolio service and to say a massive thank you for firstly providing the service which has been invaluable in showcasing my work in such a professional manner and secondly and more importantly to thank you all for the dedicated work you have put in to providing and maintaining it to so many designers. A thousand thanks again for such a fantastic service. ~ Nick Hardwick (UK)”
“I am a Motley trained designer with 10 years film and theatre experience. Having started work in the days when I had to carry my portfolio on the train to show people, Martin Paling’s Sceno website has been an important online development for me as a designer. I used the website for about 18 months to show my work to prospective agents and employers in film, tv and theatre. The feedback I have had from these professionals about sceno has all been good. People have said that the site is clean, crisp and attractive to view while as a user I have found it easy to use, flexible and well conceived and designed for my needs. I have recommended Sceno to other designers and think it could become a vital part of the design repertoire were it to continue.” ~ Stephanie Haken (UK)
“I am a young professional scenic artist and props master working in Iowa. I recently graduated from college, and while I was preparing to enter the professional world of theatre, I was looking for an online portfolio website and discovered Sceno:graphy. Being in the arts, anything that a potential employer sees, from resumé to portfolio, plays a crucial role in how they perceive the candidate. I was once told by a mentor that, “A resumé will get you an interview, but a portfolio will get you the job.” I have walked into an interview and been hired based solely on my resumé and online Sceno:graphy website portfolio. Seeing is believing in this industry.” ~ Becky Buhlig (USA)
