<title>Donations for EEE Project Donations </title>
    <link>http://pledgie.com/campaigns/92</link>
<description>I was talking with my wife about what I would do if I made money as a result of the EEE Project. In my mind it was simple; I would donate all proceeds after expenses to charity.

What do I mean by &#8220;after expenses&#8221;?

If I self publish a companion book of interviews with a CD, or if one is published by a commercial publisher, I would donate any money that was earned after the expense of publishing (or any money that I would be paid) to charity. Also, if I sell or license any photo as related to the EEE Project, that I am the author of, I will donate these proceeds too.

Which charity would I donate to?

I&#8217;ve thought about this as well. I would want to split it between a few groups that I think contribute to the arts and oral history:

Ourmedia - They do a great job supporting artists, and providing free media storage for shared art projects.

The Oral History Association, which was established in 1966, and seeks to bring together all persons interested in oral history as a way of collecting and interpreting human memories to foster knowledge and human dignity. It&#8217;s important to keep this stuff alive.

The Venice Arts group, an innovative arts center that brings talented artists together with low-income young people to nurture their creativity, imagination, and talent. Their programs focus on those whose access to the arts, as artists or audience, has been limited.

Why am I blogging about this?

I wanted to communicate this publicly so there would be absolute transparency about the project, and my intentions. In addition, I think that it&#8217;s important to commit to a project for the sake of the discovery, and if there can be a benefit (financially or otherwise) for others as a result of the final outcome - great! I want the EEE Project to be coming from a good place.

Shared Information.

The EEE Project is licensed under a Creative Commons NC-ND Works 3.0 License as well, which means that the general public is free to do the following:

Share &#8212; to copy, distribute and transmit the work.

Under the following conditions:

Attribution. You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the EEE Project (but not in any way that suggests that the EEE Project endorses you or your use of the work).

Noncommercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.

No Derivative Works. You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.

In Closing.

I hope that this lends clarity about what I would do if the project made money. In addition to all of the things that I would do, I&#8217;d like to be clear of one thing that I won&#8217;t do: I will never charge people to view the EEE Project website, or listen / read the interviews.

If you have any questions or feedback please feel free to contact me.
