At age 27, our friend Keith, known as “Krusherâ€, suffered two debilitating strokes. He’s had brain surgery and is now undergoing physical therapy. He’s unable to work, and his medical bills have quickly grown to millions of dollars.
Krusher’s one of the most energetic people we know. To us, he’s this big, strong guy who plays basketball, runs a TV station live truck, carries TV equipment around like it’s nothing, and is always ready and willing to help out or just have fun.
That’s why this has all come as such a shock.
Krusher had brain surgery to remove malformed blood vessels and a clot from his brain stem. He’s now in rehab, trying to relearn how to do all the things you and I take for granted.
Of course, through all this, he’s been unable to work. His health insurance has run out and he’s going on disability. In the meantime, his medical bills have stacked up to half a million dollars.
If you can help, even a little, it would mean so much to Krusher, his family, and his friends.
