Every year the senior performance majors at VCU go to 3 different cities (New York, Chicago, and DC) to showcase their talents in front of talent agencies, theaters, casting agents etc. This year we have the pleasure of going to not only those three cities, but also LA! Not only that, but we have a huge amount of workshops with big names in the business to make those lasting connections.

Showcase is a very powerful asset to us. Theatre performance majors don’t generally have jobs set up for them after college like most other majors. Having this opportunity to “showcase” our talents in front of people/companies that will offer us jobs after we graduate is seriously awesome. That’s about the only word I can come up with to describe the awesomeness of this opportunity.
