We are suffering terribly from certain changes that Amazon.com has made in the last month.
Borderland Sciences Research Foundation is an alternative science information resource founded in 1945.
Borderland Sciences has preserved many incredible sources of information and has been a pioneer of the frontiers of science and consciousness for over 63 years. We sell a lot of staple bound photocopies of rare books that are impossible to find outside of private libraries including much research conducted by the foundation over the years.
We had grown dependent on our revenue from Amazon.com to make ends meet in the last year because Amazon.com gets so much more internet traffic then our web site at www.borderlands.com. This was a huge mistake as we had no idea that “The Alliance” (yes fachist extra-terrestrials comes to mind…but we all have kooky imaginations out here don’t we? haha)was going to be terminating relationships with small independent presses.
Independent Press was just getting a little too comfortable in the 21st century. Technology they did not have the forsight to repress, like the internet, has just taken them a little more time to figure out how to put us independent thinkers back in our place.
We are developing new web pages with features similar to Amazon.com that allow you to purchase our most popular books online with Pay Pal. We are also going to move our distribution over to Alibris.com so check for us there if you are interested in some very interesting ideas from the borderlands of science and perception. We could really use your help in the meantime. We have lost bettween $200.00 and $500.00 a month and have depleted our savings account to make rent for April.
