)GlobalEyes recently completed construction of new latrine facilities at Dago Thim Primary School, located outside of Kisumu in western Kenya. Our next step is to initiate a feeding program for student school lunches and outreach feeding of additional meals for other hungry children in the community.
For the over 600 students at Dago Thim – many of whom walk more than 2 km to and from school – this lunch will sometimes be the only reliable meal of the day. Proper nutrition is essential to the educational success of students at Dago Thim.

GlobalEyes initiated a similar outreach feeding program at neighboring Obede Primary School in 2006.
