Unfortunately, the promise of fame and fortune has <a href="http://www.nimblecode.com">sucked</a> <a href="http://brainspl.at">the</a> <a href="http://glu.ttono.us">talent</a> from the documentation pool, and the <a href="http://api.rubyonrails.org">ruby on rails docs</a> have fallen by the wayside.</p> <p>The standard response from most coders I spoke to was "sure, I'd love to help, but I'm terribly busy." So, you're making a living from rails? You should consider putting up $10, or $50, or whatever, to fund a professional to spend some quality time alone with the API docs. We're aiming at $5,000 USD.</p> <p>All the money received at this account will go towards paying one or more people to enhance the Ruby on Rails API. If you've missed it, we've been brainstorming how to spend that big wad of cash that's been burning up the documentation fund. If you are interested in being subsidized to help push the documentation in the right direction go ahead and tell us a little bit about yourself, why you're qualified to write documenation, and what you'd like to work on. I think at the moment the consensus is that **we'd like at least one person working on the api directly**. That being said, your input matters.
