Christian Chat 24/7 Staffing

Help Christian Chat and the Christian Web to be staffed and monitored 24/7. One of our most active and skilled users in Christian Chat, whom everyone adores, will hopefully move from being part-time to being full time permanent staff for Christian Chat and our other sites. And we need others! (We still need and greatly value the awesome volunteer moderators that we have, but we also need scheduled full time staff as backups to be available around the clock, and to handle screening of new users and user support, and they can also be chat room hosts to welcome and take care of new users.)

Okay we’ll tell you the name of the first one that we are trying to recurit: Abing!! She is internet savvy, a good communicator, and most importantly, godly! She is based in Cebu, Philippines, a rather unique paradise island province which, believe it or not, is the heart of customer support for much of America (and even some of the UK)! Sprint, Dell, American Express, and many other big companies (including our own dedicated server host) base their user support right here. One of the co-founders of the Christian Web / Christian Chat is also from the Philippines (RoboOp’s wife), and they are presently based there in Cebu, trying to set up office and 24/7 staffing. This will be especially important when, Lord willing, we have video chat. But it’s also very needed now, as this staffing will free up RoboOp to concentrate exclusively on administration and development (to finish needed features, such as video chat).

Our goal right now is to raise enough for the first month of 24/7 staffing. Within that month hopefully we’ll have time to set up a more sustainable system of funding for the staffing.
