I really appreciate those that are contributing to this. I think government agencies should be mindful of the kind of rules and regulation they come up with. They should also consider the people.

If i had the money i would doate! Please take the time to look at my Goal and point me in the right direction, It is connected to my page. Thank you!
Thank you for what you are doing.
My heart goes out to you. I love animals and it is hard to eat pork sometimes when I see how intelligent pigs are. But its so yummy…mmmbacon, so I seek out family farms too. Esp since a road trip across country a couple years ago where on the highway we passed trailer after trailer of miserable looking pigs crammed all together headed for a processing plant. I only want to eat humanely treated meat. I also believe that if we eat meat of a stressed out animal, it makes the person who eats it stressed. Cortisol and other chemical changes may get passed on. I would like to see what the state really is basing their case on, how can the judge not laugh? It seems so ridiculous, are your pigs running wild through the streets? are they hurting anyone or other peoples property? No then who cares if they are ‘wild’ or not. We need more ‘wildness’ in our food. Look at how many people eat buffalo. I got an elk burger in a drive-thru in WA state for crying out load.
Thanks, Laura. The generosity of so many people, coming beside us and saying in word and deed that they support our effort is immensely encouraging. 772 people from across the country is no small thing. We’ve heard from people around the world, even! We’ve been able now to get some bulk feed for the pigs, so the stress of scrounging and trips to the feed mill is off. I paid some bills this week that have been hanging over our heads. I’m looking at school books and fall clothes for the kids. All this is giving us the mental space to look at building/rebuilding our business to make us sustainable once again. Thanks to everyone who’s been a part of keeping us in the fight for everyone’s freedom to choose their food. Jill
Jill, I looked forward to visiting your booth years ago every weekend i went to the LeRoy farmers market. You were so pleasant and cheerful. I hope this experience hasn’t stripped any of your spirit and joy. Thanks for the stand you’re taking. Praying for you and your family. Laura
We need to stand up against a government that is in bed with big ag and trying to squash the family farmer who is simply trying to provide for his family and provide good, healthy food.
The Michigan DNR brought in feral pheasants from Sichuan, China into the state in the 1980’s.
Thanks so much to everyone who has come along beside us through your donation. It’s easy to feel helpless in the face of the huge challenges we see around us, but you’ve chosen to make a difference in the life of a family trying to do what’s right and take a stand for everyone’s rights. Your donation is sending the message that the government can’t arbitrarily pick and choose winners, that you can make your own responsible choices about your food, the essence of life, and your property. You have helped us be able to keep going, and your encouragement has value beyond words. Thank-you!
We have succeeded in raising close to our initial goal. The need is great, so we have raised the goal now that the story is going viral! Thanks, from the Baker family, they are buoyed by the outpouring of support. You have no idea what it means to them. Thanks to all of you!
Save Traditional Farms
When they went to ruin a small pig farmer, I said nothing because I was not a pig farmer.
When they went after people growing their own vegetables I said nothing, because I grew none .
When they went after the farmer’s market , I said nothing, because by then I was too afraid.
When they came after me for some superfluous reasons, no one else was left to speak out
