Mark from Pledgie was planning on participating in the 2008 Philanthropy Midwest Conference as a attendee, but we learned on Friday that there is one last exhibitor’s booth available!
We are hoping to raise at least $500.00 to purchase the last remaining exhibitor’s booth. We will use this booth to demo Pledgie and interview some of the more than 500 nonprofit professionals, board members, community volunteers and foundation staff who will be in attendance. We have two goals for the conference:
Pledgie is a free service, and as such we make no money on the thousands of campaigns that use our service. Garry and Mark are thrilled with the positive difference that Pledgie has made in people’s lives, and are proud to be members of the growing Pledgie community. In the two years that we’ve been running this site, we’ve helped members raise money for orphanages, open source software, legal defense funds, and even espresso machines.
We know that these successes are just the beginning though. Pledgie is growing faster than we anticipated, and in the coming months we want to improve the Pledgie platform to meet the needs of these new members and institutions. We feel that being an exhibitor at the conference will give us the research and exposure that we need to plan our next features for you all.
Please consider donating any amount that you feel you can. This will help send us on our way. Any money we raise over the 500.00 amount will be used to buy handout materials for the conference (cards, literature, T-shirts?!)
Don’t worry if you cannot donate right now; you can also help by embedding a badge on a blog, website, Facebook page etc.
Thanks to everyone in the Pledgie community who will make this possible!
Mark & Garry

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far!
This is our last full-day of fund-raising for this event. We have to let the conference know by end of business today if we are going to buy a spot, so please consider making a small donation to show your support for Pledgie as we try to attend this conference and make this site better!
