eBay4R is a Ruby wrapper for eBay’s Web Services SOAP API. Emphasis is on ease of use and small footprint. Forget the 40-50 line examples eBay gives you in C# and Java. With Ruby and eBay4R, examples are 5 lines or less.
Our RubyForge hosted project is at: http://rubyforge.org/projects/ebay4r/
My goal is to raise $500 by June 2007 to support current and future development.
When I started my own eBay app in Jan. 2005 and subsequently discovered Rails that July, I wanted to use Rails but quickly realized there was no eBay library for Ruby. So I had to write my own and then give it to the world. So if you are one of those people who was able to just pick up my library and use it in your own app, consider the time / cost you saved by not having to write it yourself. Then, consider what a portion of that time is worth and please make a pledge to the project.
If you do not want to make a monetary pledge, please then consider putting our Donate Badge on your web site, blog, or anywhere you think it will make a difference. HTML code is on the right, just copy & paste.
