Well, here’s my personal PLEDGIE project. I’m a writer and I have four books that need professional proofreading and editing so they really can shine. The cheapest editor I could find would charge me 250 bucks for each book, making the total amount a thousand dollars. I self-publish as Edwin Stark and my bookshave earned quite a few 4 and 5-star reviews on Amazon; now I’m looking forward to give them that professional edge they need, but indie writers as myself are well known for their tight pockets. That’s part 1 of this PLEDGIE project: to gather a 1000 US $ to give all my 4 books a professional edit.
I’m providing the links so you can check some of my books yourselves. You can also buy and download my books there as an alternate way to support my work.

You can also download a FREE copie of “The Recycling Kid” in Smashwords, and take a leisurely look at one of my stories before deciding if you’ll support my small cause.
Now, the second part of this PLEDGIE project is to round up 1500 US $ so I can replace my aging 6-year old notebook and comtinue writing. As you can see in the photo I added here, some of the keys have already started to unglue from their small rubber stubs, and typing on this crumbling keyboard has started to become a chore. Also, its built-in fan has started to make some odd, funny noises, so I suspect that the poor thing is about to expire. I calculate that a mid-price (1000-1500$) laptop would neatly replace it, and allow me another 6 years of potential work without worries.
So the goal of this PLEDGIE project would be… 1000 bucks for the pro edits, plus 1500 to get me another PC so I can continue working = 2500 US $
I hope this simple and direct explanation moves you to collaborate with my cause.
P.S. I added the Video Trailer of my second book on a whim; I’ll be pleased if you took a look at it…
