Some background about me...
As a student going off to college very soon, which in itself is a considerable financial investment, a laptop would be a very important asset for me. Unfortunately, my older PowerBook G4, a relic of the pre-Intel era, has fallen into grave disrepair.

The problem at hand...
Among all the issues, including wifi and lower RAM slot failure, is the dysfunctional power management system. The laptop no longer works with any battery. Unless the power cord is attached, the computer cannot run. Naturally, this is troublesome as the need to be plugged in at all times somewhat defeats the purpose of the machine being portable.

My humble plea...
Therefore, I implore you to please help me raise a fund so that I may purchase the cheapest version of the MacBook to replace my defective machine. I realize that $1100 is a hefty sum of cash to ask for and that chances are, I won't receive all of it, but even a few hundred will be greatly helpful.
