After 7 years of service, my programming rig is no longer suitable for graphics programming – or any C++ programming whatsoever – and it limits my abilities to contribute actively to the open source projects I am involved with.
Since I’ve been between jobs for an extended period of time, I need some help to raise money towards a new programing rig.
Which is going to be an iMac.
An iMac would mean three operating systems in one – Ogitor would definitely benefit, as would Ogre3D by means of support for Mac OS X.
It doesn’t have to be more than a basic 21" iMac.
Edit:
Due to the low dollar, the cheapest iMac would cost $1,600 – so it might become a regular PC instead. Blame the high taxes in Denmark.
$1,200 would buy an above average decent graphics programmers PC. :)
