I’m responsible for developing stereoscopic 3D playback support for the VLC media player. My eventual goal is to support the widest range of 3d configurations possible.
Stereoscopic support began as part of my Google Summer of Code 2011 project and I have been continuing it since. You can follow my progress at:
While I have already made promising progress, stereoscopic support is still in its early stages and there are still many 3D configurations out there that need to be supported.
This means purchasing the hardware – graphics cards and displays, to develop and test with. Unfortunately, some of this hardware can be expensive and, as a full time student, I cannot afford to purchase it myself.
This pledge is to raise money to purchase development hardware with. All money raised will be used to fund the purchase of hardware that I will bring stereoscopic support to. As this is an on-going project I have not set a goal, and I will beĀ gratefulĀ for any amount I receive. I will also accept hardware donations.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your work, keep it up :)
I’d like to see the ATI HD3D support. I am currently using Stereoscopic Player with the “ATI Stereoscopic Driver” output, but VLC is quite superior in all aspects (specially missing audio trac selection, subtitles, etc.)
Thanks.
