Hello! We are Brian and Carol…a married couple that wants to share the love of Christ with others. God tells us to go and love…bringing the good news to all nations! This summer we have the wonderful opportunity to go to Africa and minister to the people in Nairobi, Kenya through preaching, educating, and meeting their immediate physical needs.

We have been involved with the global and local outreach ministry at Crossroads Christian Church and have seen pictures and heard first hand testimonies of people who have witnessed the extreme poverty in Kenya. Hopeless children orphaned by AIDS roam the slums without food or shelter and a lack of education amongst the people allows the disease to continue to spread. The women and children who do have homes in the slums have no electricity and no way to provide for themselves. We feel the call to go help these people and meet their needs.

In July, We will go to Kenya for two weeks with a team from Crossroads and partner with Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF). We will conduct a Vacation Bible School program, in which we will share the message of Christ with elementary children through music, skits, and crafts. We will get to visit HIV/AIDS support groups to encourage and pray with the people. We will provide lighting for homes in the slums of Mathare by working with the nationals to install skylights while evangelizing to the families in the homes. The end part of our trip will be spent working on a project called Microfinance where our team will help qualified individuals start their own business. Through this program, these individuals will be able to continue to provide for their families long after we leave.

Hearing of the extreme poverty, suffering, and spread of HIV in Africa has burdened our hearts and we know that God is calling us to go and serve those who are hurting in Nairobi. We are asking for your support in this trip spiritually and finacially . We need to raise $7200. for the 2 of us. All of this money will go directly to flights, hotels, and food. Our lump sum is due May 8. All donations need to be received by June 24th if you are led to donate.
